I absolutely love their story. Adriano makes no concessions for who he is or who he loves. He is mafia hard. Growing up the son of Riley Conti, there is no doubt of his life being the Outfit. He does as he is told. The only thing that he wants is his relationship with Alessa. It doesn't matter if his father or the Outfit agree. He is a mix of hard and soft that you do not often find with mafia men. I love that about him. I love that he is an alpha male with a huge heart only for Alessa.

I will not give away any spoilers. I will tell you that this is a must read. The Chicago War series is a must for mafia romance lovers. Each book in the series gets better and better. Bethany-Kris is a genius in her creation of the Outfit, the characters and the world surrounding it. She draws you in and makes you feel like you are living the story. I can't wait for book three. Thank you, Bethany-Kris, for another amazing read.

I was given a ARC for a honest review, and i must say this forbidden love affair between Alessa and Adriano,was hot and intense,and i loved every minute of it!....Great book!
Another amazing story from Bethany!!!! I seriously love all of the Mafia books she writes! Keep them coming ma'am they are outstanding!

I usually read books pretty quickly but I took my time with this one. I savored every twist and turn and there were a lot of them. There was tons of action, suspense and a wonderful love story. Love won and the ending was perfect. I love this series. I love this author!
I. Loved. This. Book. The first one, Deathless & Divided, was excellent and sometimes in a series, the 2nd doesn't measure up or feels repetitive. Not this one. This was fantastic! It builds upon the first, in fact the first few chapters run simultaneously with events from the first, but from the new hero/heroine's perspective. Great sex, realistic violence and a HEA inside a continuing multi-book arc means no cliffhanger but I ran to buy the next installment anyway!

I am not usually a fan of the whole forbidden romance story but this was really good. I liked the fact that nothing was going to stop the hero and heroine from being together. They both knew what they wanted. I also really enjoyed the mafia part of the storyline. I do recommend you read book one Deathless & Divided before this otherwise you would be lost in regards to what is going on in mafia side of the plot.

Highly recommend this series if you don't mind anti-hero who knows what he wants and will do whatever it takes to get it.
This book is excellent!!! I absolutely looove Andriano. He knew what he wanted and he took it and didn't give a f*** who liked it and who didn't. Alessa was great. She loved Andriano and took extreme risks to be with him even if it was only for a few minutes. At times I was so worried for them. I just knew someone would catch them together and that something extremely bad would happen to Alessa. But it all worked out and they got what they wanted in the end which was each other!!! As for Riley I do not care for him. All he cares about is himself. He treats his children as if they are nothing. He is far to arrogant and I'm hoping he gets what he deserves. This is a great series so far and I'm looking forward to reading the next two books. Bethany Kris has become one of my favorites!!! I love all the books I have read by her so far. I highly recommend!!!
